internet works but wifi doesn't
How to check and troubleshoot your WiFi settings
Check your devices
  • Confirm that WiFi is not disabled on your device.
  • Confirm that WiFi is not disabled on your modem. Some modems have a button that allows you to turn WiFi on or off.
  •  Ensure the password is correct. The default name (SSID) and password are printed on the bottom of your modem. If you have changed the password and do not remember it, please call us on 1800 EmuTel (368 835) for further support.
Check the signal
  • Stand beside your modem with your device to rule out signal issues, then move farther away. Monitor the signal strength.
  • If you lose your WiFi connection in certain areas, view this guide on improving WiFi signals.
Try another device
  • If possible, try to connect another device to the WiFi. If some devices can connect while others can’t, restart the device that can’t connect and try again.
  • If the device still does not connect, it may have a faulty wireless adapter and you will need to seek a repair or replacement.
